The Lexington Bicentennial Committee
We the Lexington Bicentennial Steering Committee, hope that all the residents of our town have received our mailing, our first communication regarding the 2013 Celebration.
Please begin looking to this site for continuing information about the Bicentennial. Mailings will occur only on occasion. This site, as we get closer and closer to 2013, will become the main source communication with all of you, our fellow townspeople, and anyone that is connected with this in any way and is interested in celebrating our history with us. Let us know if you are checking the site regularly and plan to join us sometime during the year of celebration activities.
We're calling this site "Silas" so when you hear "check with Silas" it means this site.

In 2013, 200 years will have passed since Lexington was separated from Windham, and so we will celebrate our official 200th birthday. Also in that same year, Lexington, Massachusetts, the very town we were named after, will celebrate its 300th birthday. We have been in contact with both Lexington, Massachusetts, and with Goshen, Connecticut, where many of our first settlers came from, regarding this celebration. Next year, 2009, we will use this site to post information as this event begins to take form.
