Town of Lexington Town Board – Special Meeting

The Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Lexington was called to order on July 10th, 2008 at 11:30:00 P.M., by Supervisor Dixie Baldrey at the Lexington Municipal Building, followed by the pledge of allegiance.

Other Present: James Boyle, Carl & Georgiana from Ganem Contracting Corp., and Doug Van Duesen (Lamont Engineers).

Supervisor Dixie Baldrey said that the special meeting was being held to decide if the Town of Lexington would like to move forward and continue on the rest of the Brick & Mortar Repair to the remaining sides of the Municipal Building.  A discussion was held.   

Resolutions #95-08
Complete Brick & Mortar Repair / Municipal Building / West, South, & East Sides

            On a motion by Council Member Paul Van Valkenburgh, seconded by Council Member Maurice Nelson, the following resolution was
ADOPTED - Ayes - 3 - Baldrey, Nelson, Van Valkenburgh
                    Absent – 2 - Byrne & Mellott
                    Nays – 0

            Whereas, the Town Board of the Town of Lexington rewarded the lowest bid price to Ganem Contracting Corp. for the north side of the Municipal Building on October 2, 2007, for $64,000. by Resolution #102-07 with the option to add Alternatives 1, 2, & 3 at a later time;

Therefore, the Town of Lexington Town Board resolves to award the final contract with the lowest bid for the “Brick & Mortar Repair Project” to Ganem Contracting Corp., Clifton Park, NY for the following:

            Additive No. 1 – Building Side (West): Add. Alt. Amount .................. $  34,000.
            Additive No. 2 – Building Side (Rear / South) ………………………….30,000.
            Additive No. 3 – Building Side (East) …………………………………..33,000.
                                                   Total --------------------------------------- $  97,000.

A discussion was held regarding the brick and mortar repair.

Adjourn

            Councilmember Paul Van Valkenburgh made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Councilmember Maurice Nelson.  All Agreed.

            Supervisor Dixie Baldrey adjourned the meeting.
